FAQs
How long does a space take?
It depends on the size of the room or space, the amount of stuff, and how quickly you can make decisions! We would agree to as close to a time estimate as possible before the session.
But to give you an idea:
an entryway may take 2-3 hours
a laundry room: 2-3 hours
a bathroom: 2-3 hours
a bedroom closet: 3-4 hours
a bedroom: 3-4 hours
a home office: 4-6 hours or more
a kitchen: 6-8 hours or more
How does the process work?
Head over to Services for a detailed explanation.
How much does it cost?
$70 per hour
Why don’t you have many Google reviews?
Many of my clients feel a degree of embarrassment or shame having to pay someone to come help them organise their stuff. They shouldn’t of course, but they do! Rather than post a review that the public can see, they appreciate the discretion of an anonymous testimonial on my website.
Where do you start in the house?
That depends on you! We could either tackle the room or space that frustrates you the most (the one where you tend to keep the door closed!). Or we could take on a quicker and easier job like a closet or laundry room, to get a win on the board.
I’m nervous about having someone in my house. Are you going to judge my clutter?
Hey — there is no judgment on my part. I will not be shocked by your stuff. You do not need to feel embarrassed.
You’re just a person who has collected things over the years, and some of it no longer serves you. That’s all!
Do I need to be home for it?
Yes. Only you can make decisions as to what to keep! (And any other family members who would like to be involved.)
I would then organise what’s left, and help deal with the rest.
Do I need to become a minimalist?
No. Decluttering is not about stripping a home and making it stark or sparse.
It’s taking the time to examine what you own, and what to keep.
It’s being purposeful about curating a home filled with things you love, rather than things you put up with.
Can I gift your services?
Absolutely. Maybe you have a friend going through a transition — baby on the way, or a parent starting back at work, or someone struggling with a health issue. The gift of home organisation can be incredibly valuable in times like these at reducing stress and overwhelm so they can focus on the important things.
Are you insured?
Absolutely.
“Before Katie came over, she asked some great and specific questions.
When she arrived, Katie had already spent time thinking and planning potential solutions—really affirming, as she was already organized.
Then, we got to work.
Not only is she proficient at her work and organizing, but she is a pleasure to have in my home—genuine, warm, smart, and efficient.
She made the galley kitchen at my new home, which was dark and poorly laid out and much smaller than my last kitchen, a place where I am happy cooking and spending time (I love to cook).”
